A well-known company like Ebay had to have a good app. However, this hasn’t always been the case. Just some years ago, Ebay made an upgrade of their app that really upset their users. At that time, the Ebay app wasn’t showing exactly what people wanted to see and had many bugs. However, and after listening carefully to their customers, sellers and app users, the Ebay app have been improving.
With the Ebay App, it’s as easy to buy and sell any item you want as if you were using their website, with the extra advantage that you can do it on the go. And one of the things that you usually can’t do when you’re using your desktop computer is to search for a specific item using the code scanner. You can use it to compare prices, to start a new listing, or simply to save you time while you’re shopping.
You can find the Ebay app on both the Android and Apple marketplaces.
App Interface / Usability:
Ebay has clearly taken the time to listen to their customer’s feedback and reviews and is making some necessary changes to their app. Ebay has been working specifically on 3 fronts: utility, design plus speed, and the navigation.
The Ebay app has been improving in the last few years and it will continue to improve, according to the expectations of users. The app interface is becoming more intuitive as well as user-friendly.
As we already stated, Ebay is working on 3 fronts to make their app better: the navigation, utility, and the design plus speed.
One of the things that you’ll notice as soon as you open the Ebay App is menu redesign. In previous versions of the app, you could see the menu as a mixture of both a hamburger menu and a top navigation bar. This kind of menu just turned the Ebay app into a nightmare when you were looking for something in specific. You just couldn’t find anything on the menu. However, with the new design, the Ebay app is using the standard UI navigation elements. And this is happening on both Android and Apple versions of the app.
Ebay has been working hard to improve their search. Now, when you’re using the search inside the Ebay app, you’ll be able to see items similar to the ones you’re looking at. What Ebay is doing is trying to personalize your app according to your own preferences and buying habits.
Another part of the app that is already changing is the Selling part that will remain as a one-stop section.
Design Plus Speed:
In the past, many users complained about the speed of the Ebay app. And with reason. Despite it’s still not perfect, the fact is that it already improved a lot. They started by the navigation menu but they will expand the changes to the entire app as well, making it easy and fast to use.
Differences Between Android & iOS Versions:
There are no noticeable differences between the Ebay App for Android or for Apple.
