Netflix is a reputable company that turned video streaming available to you just like VHS rentals were some years back. And now, you can also use the Netflix service through the Netflix App that is available for both Android and Apple.

Netflix Review:

Estimated Reading Time: ( words)

When you use the Netflix App, you’ll be able to watch all the movies and TV series everywhere you want, at the time you want. With the Netflix original content, and the often-changing TV shows and movies catalog, you have plenty to choose from. And since you can even download what you want to see and watch the videos at a later time, you can consider the Netflix App as a must have.

App Interface / Usability:

When you’re opening the Netflix App for the first time, you’ll be asked for your Netflix account username and password. The regular subscription is all you need to strat using the app.

On the main menu, you’ll be able to see some titles that you might be interested in, based on the genres that you liked and on the previous titles that you rated higher. In case you don’t have any genres indicated, you can do so on the Netflix website. Besides this list, you’ll also see the content that you’re in the middle of watching.

The interface is touch-friendly and is very smoothly.

In case you just don’t see what you’re looking for, you can use the collapsible left-hand menu where all the common genres are displayed as well as the search button on the top-right corner.

It’s important to notice that despite your smartphone may not be the ideal place to watch a movie or a TV show because it’s small, you won’t see any differences regarding the quality of the image and sound. The images are crisp, the sound is clear, and when you have a reliable Wi-Fi signal, you won’t have any stuttering.

When you finish watching the video, you can also rate it from 1 to 5 stars directly on the Netflix app. These ratings are later used to give you recommendations on the videos that you’ll probably like.

Functionality:

It seems that Netflix is trying to increase its catalog of both movies and TV shows. After so many people criticizing the lack of offers, they are really trying to have more variety to their customers.

And if there’s one place where Netflix is on top against all the other direct competitors is the ability to have their own original programming. TV shows like Orange is the New Black, House of Cards, Stranger Things, The Crown, among others can be seen here.

It couldn’t be any easier for you to use the Netflix App. It’s well-designed, conveniently thought for you to reach the titles you may prefer, and with all the information you need to make a decision. For example, all the movies have a “quick information” section that allows you to see the title, the release year, the running time, the MPAA rating, and the ratings from other Netflix users.

One feature that you’ll absolutely love in the Netflix app is the ability to download the video you want to see and view it offline at a later time. Despite not all videos are available for download, most of them are. And you can easily notice the ones that are available because they have a special icon near. You usually have 48 hours to complete watching the movie or TV show after you started it.

Differences Between Android & iOS Versions:

There are no significant differences between the Netflix App for Android or for Apple.
